RSS feed

Lastly, if you have a blog, you need to submit your RSS feed.  If you use a content management system such as WordPress, all of your website content will automatically appear in your website’s RSS feed.

You can submit this feed link to many online RSS or feed directories and get links to your inside pages and posts.  Popular RSS feed directories that you can submit are http://www.bloggingfusion.com/, http://globeofblogs.com/, http://www.bloglisting.net/, http://www.bloghub.com/, and http://www.blogrollcenter.com/.

Now after you have submitted your site to the directories we need to track everything from the visitors to our ranking on the search engines. How do we do this? Well, we can do this with several tools.

To track the visitors that come to our website, we can use a few tools. If you are using WordPress on your site, you can install the plugin Jetpack. We are here at the website where we can download it https://wordpress.org/plugins/jetpack/

JetPack is a free WordPress plugin created by the creators of WordPress itself. Jetpack also provides lots of additional functionality from contact forms to a spelling checker. To install JetPack, go to your WordPress websites admin then Plugins then Add new and type in JetPack. Click the install button then activate your plugin.

Also, we can use Google Analytics. With Google Analytics you can view your visitors flow through your website; this means you can identify the most popular routes to, or from a particular page. Social media information is presented too, and this includes referrals from a social network and interaction with a social button (like a tweet button) within your website. You can also set up goals – This allows you to track how many people end up on a landing page, and how many of those convert into customers. The goals provide you with a means working out the value of each one of your website visitors, and the social networks.

To set up Google Analytics go to https://www.google.com/analytics/, then click access google analytics, once you are here click on the admin tab new account, complete everything, and you will get a tracking code.  This tracking code, just copy and paste into every page that you want to track and place it before the Head Tag.

Also, other websites to take into consideration for tracking your website are http://www.awstats.org/ and https://statcounter.com/.

Lastly to check the rankings of your site you can do this by going to https://rankinity.com/ or http://www.rankwatch.com/. Make sure to be consistent in your post, build backlinks and bring tons of social signals to your site to improve the rankings.
